For 2010, the Sunncamp 260 has been given an overhaul and now features a new look.

  • It is now constructed of a new look and improved fabric – which is very strong and durable
  • Maximum use has been made of the awning, in that there are 2 x side doors, with internal mesh panels to keep the flies and bugs out!
  • For those hot summer days, there are 3 x front panels that can be opened, by either rolling up, or propping open to form a canopy with the poles that are provided.
  • Each of the PVC panel windows, also have roll up ‘curtains’ providing maximum light
  • The Sunncamp 260 is very sturdy having aluminium roof support bars and  rear steal downward support bars . We have had ours erected in strong winds and it has still proved to be very sturdy and gave us no causes for concern that it would have blown away!
  • Everything has been made to the highest standards, with sewn in sealing pads, adjustable ladder band pegging and adjustable pole tension straps. To keep any wind out, there is a PE draft valance all the way around.
  • There is a draft skirt provided that will fit along the bottom rail of your caravan and covering the wheel.

All of this comes in a small bag, about the size of a large rucksack and weighs in at under 18Kgs. So if you are like us and worry about the weight you are carrying inside the caravan itself, then this fits in fine and stows easily under the main bed towards the rear of the caravan….Brilliant!

We went for the Burgundy colour and it looks great and much more expensive than it actuallycost. Every caravan site we have been to, someone has always asked us about it and where can they get hold of one.

One of our main concerns was how easy it was to put up, so armed with the instructions, we were able to put it up fully in less than 30 mins the 1st time. Within a few times of erecting it, it has been possible to cut this time by half. It is so easy that, my wife and her 13yr old daughter put it up with ease. No bits left over…and no raised voices!

In summary, we cannot recognise this caravan porch awning enough. The Sunncamp 260 suits us fine. If you want a longer one, then I would suggest you go for the Sunncamp 390, which is 1.3 longer.  The main benefit to us, was that it provides extra space beside the caravan, that we erect quickly and then sit in to enjoy our caravanning to the full.

The Sunncamp 260 cannot be order direct from the manufacture and can only be purchased through their preferred suppliers.
